ADAPTIL CALM is a copy of the pheromone that the bitch separates when she's laying down her puppies. This pheromone (D.A.P.) makes a bond between the bitch and the puppies and it creates safety for the puppies when put in new situations and enters unknown surroundings. Studies have shown that a synthetic analogue of this pheromone creates safety and well-being for both puppies and adult dogs. ADAPTIL is therefore recommended to prevent and reduce insecurity and stress-related behaviour in all dogs, puppies as well as adults.

ADAPTIL has also been shown to make puppies and adult dogs more susceptible to behavioural therapy and training. Adapting to the new environment (or addressing temporary challenges) is potentially stressful for most dogs. In some dogs fear and insecurity can develop into phobias and stress-related behavioural disorders (sound phobias, separation anxiety, etc.)

ADAPTIL is a natural and easy way to alleviate stress-related behaviour in dogs such as: Challenging situations (fireworks, loud sounds, being home alone) - Adapting to new surroundings (new home, relocation, family increase or new pet) - Driving sickness - stay in a dog's pension etc. ADAPTIL is available as electric diffuser, spray and collar.

Instructions for use: ADAPTIL CALM collar is applied to the dog and the effect occurs approximately 1 hour after the dog has received the collar. It is important that the collar is close to the dog (1-1 1 / 2 finger between the collar and the dog) as it is the dog's body heat that heats the collar and thus helps release the pheromones. The neck band then works for 4 weeks. It is recommended that the collar be removed when the dog is to be bathed or out and swim, and then it can be applied to the dog again as soon as it is dry.
