The base is an important part of the aquarium's interior, as many animals dig and seek food in the ground. Sansibar Grey is a fine, grey natural base suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquas and aqua-terrariums.

The fine, uncoloured sand grain size provides optimal hold for plant roots and prevents mucus and waste from sinking deep into the bottom. The rounded natural sands are particularly gentle against sensitive bottom fish and protect their delicate barts from damage.

Sansibar Grey emits no undesirable substances to the water and is therefore ideal for fish, invertebrates and plants. Particularly suitable for grunting species such as armored paint and pain.

Important:
Not suitable for use with bottoms, as very fine sand inhibits water circulation
Bottom heating is recommended only for medium or coarse bottom

Application:
Rinse sand thoroughly under running water to remove dust and transport residues
Place the sand on top of the nutrient substrate (e.g. JBL AquaBase)
For optimal plant growth a layer of 6-8 cm is recommended
