A beautiful and very variable West African tuber plant that has green to reddish brown leaves with a larger or smaller amount of red violet spots. The height varies from 20-80 cm.Knolden is planted with the tip just above the bottom layer. Before it sets floating leaves, Nymphaea lotus gets many underwater leaves. If you don't want the flowerleaf, roots and leaves can be cut. In an open aquarium you can see the beautiful, fragrant flower, which is only open at night. A nutrient-rich bottom significantly promotes growth. It is often traded in a red and green variant. A recommended soloitary plant for large aquariums.
