This beautiful plant is a cross between Echinodorus horemanii "Rot" and Echinodorus horizontalis. It was first made in 1986 at Hans Barth in Dessau. The plant becomes 25-40 cm tall and the entire rosette is 15-25 cm wide.

New underwater leaves are beautifully rosé, and the first time in the aquarium will often have reddish brown spots. A nutritious bottom layer promotes growth, but otherwise Echinodorus' Rosé 'is undemanding and therefore also a suitable beginner plant. The plant can quickly shade the plants under it, so it is advisable to thin the leaves at intervals.
