Aquarium plant grown from tissue culture in sealed cup. The genus Eriocaulon is usually adapted to soft water. However, Eriocaulon cinereum is somewhat more tolerant than the majority and can thrive in medium-hard water. Soft water, in turn, promotes growth. It is a small, very narrow leaf and almost pudding plant that requires good conditions for light and CO2 to develop nicely. The plant is extremely willing to flourish after planting into the aquarium and the countless small flower stems give it a unique appearance. The flowering easily drains the plant for energy, but under right conditions the plant gathers new forces and shoots from the base after some time.
