Aquarium plant in small coconut fibre pot, packed in breathable self-service packaging. From south-east Asia comes this robust stem plant, which reaches a height of 15-30 cm and a width of 2-3 cm. The Latin name means "the plant with the round leaves." But it only covers the swamp shape, which has circular leaves.

In the aquarium Rotala rotundifolia gets oblong, thin leaves. Unlike other Rotala species, it is relatively undemanding, although it requires a lot of light to develop red leaves. It sets very willingly side shoots and therefore develops a dense bushy shape. This also means that the light will have difficulty reaching the lower leaves, and therefore the plant should be cut frequently.
