Sagittaria subulata is an ideal, undemanding foreground plant. The small, oblong, light-green leaves create a very beautiful picture.

Set the individual plants at 2-4 cm distance when planted, and the many runners will quickly form a close group. It can be a slightly tedious plant, because depending on the conditions it suddenly extends to 50 cm height, and when you move it to the background, it becomes low again.

In the aquarium it can send a long flower stem to the surface, and small white flowers fold out just above the water surface.
